International On-site Research
The Family History Research Group can provide global on-site research on either a customized research project or on a pro-rated basis with other clients.
Contact us for a proposal to meet your international on-site research needs.
Pro-Rated Cost for On-Site Research:
Our on-site pro-rated research is just $50 per hour, plus travel and lodging expenses. Travel expenses include pro-rated airfare, car rental, room and a per diem. These are all pro-rated among other clients requesting research in that region. You'll be given some estimates, ahead of time, regarding the approximate travel expenses. Each research day will include approximately 10 hours of research work, with at least 2 of those 10 hours allotted for document preparation and report writing. The minimum contracted time for overseas research is 20 hours, which represents 2 days' work.
The only additional fees that your research might incur are the minimal cost of photocopies or other document access fees. Translation fees are separate if you need the documents translated into your native language.
In addition to international archives, local villages may also be visited to examine local church records, search cemeteries, and interview relatives. Digital photographs of homesites and ancestral villages are available, as well.
